Plans from a therapist
The number code won’t go in. Check the number of digits first. Codes come in groups of four, and the app knows from the first digit how long the code should be. If one digit is off or two are swapped, the app says the code doesn’t check out. Ask your therapist to read it again slowly. Spaces and dashes don’t matter.
The link opened a web page instead of the app. Some email systems change links on the way. The page shows the plan and has a button to open it in Session Extension, and often a number code to type in as well. If you installed the app after tapping the link, go back to the email or message and open the link again.
The page says the link has no plan in it. The end of the link was probably cut off. Ask your therapist to send it again, or to read you the number code.
Can my therapist see what I write? Only what you choose to share, as a PDF you send or a QR code you show in a session. Nothing reports back on its own, including whether you followed a plan.
Making an assignment
Where are my templates? In the browser you saved them in, on that computer. They aren’t sent anywhere. To keep a copy, or use them on another computer, choose “Export templates” and then “Import templates” on the other one. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them.
Why can’t my assignment go as a number code? A number code carries the tools, the schedule, and a ready-made note. Words of your own and a “From” name need the QR code or the link. Take those out and pick a ready-made note, and the number code appears.
The QR code won’t scan. Make the code larger with “Show it large,” turn up your screen’s brightness, and hold the phone a little farther back. Very long words make a denser code, so shortening them helps too.
The app
Session Extension is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. These answers are for the app once it’s out.
Where are my entries kept? On your phone. If you turn on sync, a copy goes to your own iCloud on iPhone or your own Google Drive on Android. Nothing goes to us.
Why don’t reminders say what they’re for? So nothing personal shows on your lock screen. You can have them name the tool in Settings.
How do I delete everything? “Delete everything,” in Settings, removes what you wrote from your phone and from the synced copy, along with every reminder.
